About the job
- A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-EAC accredited program.
- Virginia Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one.
- Five or more years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience with computer-aided design software.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to working as part of a team in the office and in the field.
- Willingness to travel for short-term assignments as needed.
- Perform electrical design and inspection of low- and high-power distribution systems, industrial control systems, and lighting.
- Prepare contract plans, special provisions, and engineer’s estimates.
- Review drawings and recommend necessary changes.
- Research design options and document findings for project managers.
- Perform a mixture of office and field work.
- Specialization in Electrical Power Systems.
