Requirements
  • A four-year degree in a quantitative discipline such as Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • A Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics, or equivalent work or industry experience in applied machine learning.
  • At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end machine learning application development, including data pipelining, model optimization, deployment, and application programming interface design.
  • Extensive experience with applied machine learning frameworks and developing highly distributed machine learning systems at scale.
  • Highly proficient in Python programming.
  • Strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices for machine learning systems and machine learning operations principles.
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Vertex AI or the broader cloud-based machine learning ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing frameworks and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated experience in representational state transfer application programming interface design and development.
  • Extensive understanding of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable machine learning solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize production machine learning solutions.
  • Develop agentic artificial intelligence solutions that connect data, tools, application programming interfaces, and business rules into end-to-end decisioning workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Create a maintainable, well-tested codebase with relevant documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions and present work to technical and non-technical peers and leaders.
  • Build knowledge of business priorities and strategic goals and leverage this knowledge while building requirements and solutions for each business need.
  • Mentor engineers and help establish engineering standards, architecture patterns, and best practices for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud-native development.
