GKE Engineer
About the job
- At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on Kubernetes.
- Deep architectural knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Proven experience implementing GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and automating workflows with GitHub Actions.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform for managing complex cloud environments.
- Advanced experience modifying Helm charts, managing Custom Resource Definitions, and using kubectl for troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Kubernetes networking, including Ingress controllers, Load Balancers, and FQDN network policies.
- Lead deployment and lifecycle management of production GKE clusters, including node pool configuration, version upgrades, and multi-zonal availability.
- Architect and maintain deployment pipelines for microservices using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
- Provision and manage GCP resources using Terraform.
- Implement proactive monitoring and optimize cluster performance and costs through autoscaling and right-sizing.
- Configure granular IAM roles, least-privilege service account access, and FQDN-based network policies.
- Manage Helm manifest updates, Custom Resource Definitions, and Kubernetes Operators.
