Requirements
  • The candidate must have 4 or more years of product management experience or highly relevant adjacent experience.
  • The candidate must have prior experience as a software or systems engineer.
  • The candidate must have experience managing or contributing to a technically deep product, such as finite element method or computational fluid dynamics simulation tools, computer-aided design or 3D modeling, robotics simulation, or electrical design tools.
  • The candidate must be able to conduct rigorous, high-fidelity customer discovery that uncovers real user needs.
  • The candidate must have experience operating in a 1 to N product phase, taking an existing product through validation, integration, and scaled launch.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working across engineering, design, and marketing.
  • The candidate must meet the stated ITAR eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with early customers and beta users to conduct deep discovery and understand their workflows, pain points, and mental models at a high level of fidelity.
  • Translate customer feedback into clearly scoped product requirements rather than a list of feature requests.
  • Own roadmap planning for the simulation product and communicate priorities across engineering, design, and customer stakeholders.
  • Serve as the internal bridge between the simulation team and the broader Revel platform to ensure simulation integrates seamlessly into the overall product experience.
  • Partner closely with design and front-end engineering to craft a modern, intuitive experience without sacrificing depth.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing to support major product launches.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across and up the organization.
  • Advocate clearly for product decisions, including pushing back when necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in or strong familiarity with physics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Direct engineering experience working on simulation products or tools.
  • A background in aerospace, defense, robotics, advanced manufacturing, energy, or automotive industries.
  • Experience simulating or operating systems in a fast-paced hardware testing environment.
  • Experience collaborating closely with marketing on a major product launch.
  • Experience at a technical-product organization building tools for engineers or scientists.

Revel provides a browser-based collaborative platform and a programming language called RevelCode to control and test complex physical systems in aerospace, defense, robotics, and advanced energy. It runs deterministic commands and streams live telemetry so teams can safely issue actions and monitor systems in real time from early prototyping through production. It stands out by unifying modern software workflows with hardware development in a single full-stack platform, eliminating the need for bespoke internal tools and enabling infrastructure in hours. Its goal is to modernize the foundational software that powers next-generation hardware, helping engineering teams accelerate development, improve safety, and reduce the risk of hardware failures in mission-critical projects.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Revel raised $150 million on 2026-02-26, signaling strong investor conviction.
  • Customers like Impulse Space and Radiant Nuclear validate demand in high-consequence markets.
  • Revel claims 14-day test-stand setup dropped to 8 hours, a strong ROI story.

What critics are saying

  • Generalized expansion beyond aerospace invites incumbents like NI and bespoke internal tools.
  • Series B pressure from Index Ventures and Redpoint demands rapid enterprise revenue scaling.
  • If RevelCode becomes proprietary lock-in, customers leave when one outage halts hardware programs.

What makes Revel unique

  • RevelCode offers deterministic hardware control, unlike brittle test scripts and spreadsheets.
  • Revel collapses test, telemetry, and command workflows into one browser-based environment.
  • SpaceX engineering DNA targets mission-critical hardware where failures are expensive and visible.

Revel raises $150M Series B to modernise hardware control for aerospace and industrial systems

Revel, a startup building software platforms for hardware testing and control, has raised $150 million in a Series B round led by Index Ventures. Redpoint Ventures participated, alongside returning investors Thrive Capital, Felicis and Abstract Ventures. Founded just over a year ago, Revel initially focused on aerospace applications, reducing engine test-stand setup times from 14 days to 8 hours. The platform delivers real-time telemetry, hardware-agnostic control and rapid reconfiguration capabilities. The company is now expanding beyond test infrastructure into industrial control applications across energy, manufacturing, defence and biomedical systems. Revel's leadership team includes engineers from SpaceX, Anduril and Palantir. The funding will be used to scale the team and expand product capabilities for high-consequence hardware systems.
