Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with related work experience in manufacturing or injection molding is required.
  • The ability to read blueprints is required.
  • The ability to organize and manage documentation and reports is required.
  • The ability to distinguish color differences on critical color matches is required.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude is required.
  • The ability to perform lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Peripheral vision and depth perception are required.
  • The ability to wear personal safety equipment, including visual devices, hearing devices, and back supports, is required.
  • The ability to work throughout the plant in air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned areas is required.
  • The ability to work around and on machinery and use various machine and hand tools is required.
  • The ability to work in hazardous, noisy, and dusty conditions is required.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect received and manufactured product for conformance to established standards using visual and mechanical measurements.
  • Assist the QA Manager and Manufacturing by inspecting product and analyzing data that may affect products or processes, and initiate appropriate action.
  • Inspect product during manufacturing at prescribed intervals or according to sampling plans.
  • Verify proper labeling and sign-off before customer shipment.
  • Perform inspections according to procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency.
  • Initiate changes to procedures when appropriate.
  • Maintain inspection records and reports.
  • Immediately report product or process discrepancies to the Quality Manager.
  • Initiate non-conforming tags when discrepant or suspect product is identified.
