UDig is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to drive teams in delivery excellence, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will act as the bridge between the client stakeholders and the technical delivery team members to play a pivotal role in delivery management of custom software and data solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Discovery
- Lead meetings with client stakeholders to understand and capture project requirements
- Write, review, and/or edit business and technical documentation
- Delivery Management
- Use your technical background to close the gap and ensure smooth integration between the technical and business side of UDig projects
- Actively manage client expectations through activities such as writing and delivering a project status report to key client stakeholders and leadership, managing expectations for realistic project delivery timelines
- Lead project standup, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other agile ceremonies, acting as the bridge between key client stakeholders and the agile software delivery team
- Creating and maintaining a product backlog to ensure it is an accurate reflection of the business priorities and includes the right level of detail for both business and technical stakeholders
- Actively engaging with client stakeholders to seek out answers and details needed to keep the delivery team on track
- Collaborating with technical leads and solution architects from both UDig and the client
- Meeting with key client stakeholders to maintain strong relationships
- Contributing to internal UDig “fun/innovative” projects

What You’ll Need:

- Strong executive influence and consultative skills to manage expectations and achieve exceptional client satisfaction
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous consulting experience with a consulting firm or professional services firm, including contributions to thought leadership and pre-sales support, is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to quickly assess and understand new business domains, challenges, and pain points with experience in state government being a plus
- Experience understanding a client’s business and technical needs and acting as the bridge between the client stakeholder and the technical delivery team members
- Experience delivering custom, greenfield software and data projects within multiple industries
- 5+ years of experience, including the following:
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to define requirements
- Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to document techniques such as swim lane diagrams, flowcharts, and domain modeling
- Managing software development and/or data focused projects in an agile environment
- Writing and presenting project status and applicable metrics to executive stakeholders
- Preferred experience delivering custom software and data projects
- Technologies, tools, and methodologies:
- Experience with Kanban from implementation, execution and training
- Comfortable working in a variety of agile project management and documentation tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Notion, Linear, ServiceNow, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, executive presence, and interpersonal skills to:
- Build strong partnerships with client stakeholders, senior leadership, and colleagues.
- Present technical ideas and high-level concepts to internal and external team members with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
