  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a national territory with sales success.
  • Degree in engineering, industrial distribution, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management systems.
  • Availability and willingness to travel within North America up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships at all levels with major regional, national, and international engineering and contractor firms, as well as state and interstate governmental agencies.
  • Position Ruhrpumpen as a specialist for pumping technology throughout all project stages.
  • Use a consultative selling approach for all Ruhrpumpen products.
  • Conduct product presentations in person and virtually.
  • Assist with system design, product selection, and specification language.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of pumping products and applications used in municipal markets.
  • Identify upcoming projects at all design stages.
  • Track regional and national trends in capital improvement and infrastructure funding to position Ruhrpumpen appropriately on major projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor capabilities and geographic presence.
  • Support the sales process and market positioning.
  • Provide bid support to ensure specified and quoted products meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with external and internal sales engineers, sales management, product line management, operations, field services, legal, major sub-vendors, and Ruhrpumpen representatives.
