About the job
- At least 2 years of experience related to accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance, with the ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
- Post revenue by verifying and entering transactions.
- Generate invoices and account statements.
- Prepare, review, and upload invoices to customer portals.
- Post customer payments.
- Research discrepancies related to pricing and other invoicing charges.
- Participate in the month-end close process and perform assigned monthly duties to facilitate a timely close.
- Maintain accounts receivable files and records.
- Perform special research and projects related to billing and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and complete reports as requested on an ad hoc basis.
- Provide input to streamline accounting systems and processes through process improvement, achieving greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in general financial management and analysis.
- Work with the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company and customers.
- Work effectively with cross-functional departments, including sales, operations, logistics, shipping, and receiving.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to assume new responsibilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with responsive feedback.
