Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant Human Resources Business Partner experience supporting complex client groups, is required.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders, directors, managers, supervisors, and frontline employee populations is required.
  • Experience supporting multi-site client groups while balancing strategic business partnership with operational Human Resources execution is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, investigations, performance issues, accommodations, corrective actions, and employment risk in partnership with Legal or Employee Relations is required.
  • Experience leading or supporting talent reviews, succession planning, performance calibration, merit planning, leadership development, and engagement planning is required.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand operational priorities, workforce implications, quality expectations, and site needs are required.

  • The role requires the ability to travel between assigned California sites and attend meetings or support business needs outside standard business hours as required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Human Resources Business Partner for assigned California manufacturing sites and supply chain functions, including Valencia and San Fernando.
  • Act as both a strategic advisor and hands-on Human Resources partner, balancing long-term talent and organizational strategy with timely execution of day-to-day Human Resources needs.
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design, role clarity, operating model changes, team effectiveness, leadership transitions, and capability building.
  • Lead and support change management plans for site initiatives, process improvements, system changes, and organizational changes.
  • Lead and execute priority talent and people initiatives, including Front Line Supervisor training, coaching clinics, Career Development Pathways, and other talent management programs.
  • Use business insights, data, metrics, and employee feedback to identify trends, anticipate risks, and recommend proactive Human Resources solutions.
  • Support execution of performance management, merit and compensation planning, talent reviews, succession planning, development planning, performance calibration, and engagement action planning.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to assess staffing needs, strengthen pipelines, improve hiring outcomes, and attract diverse, high-performing talent.
  • Partner with Talent and Organization Development to identify leadership development needs, support training, strengthen manager capability, and build high-performing teams.
  • Assess engagement and organizational health across assigned sites and client groups; partner with leaders on action plans that strengthen employee experience, retention, inclusion, accountability, and performance.
  • Advise on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, grievances, corrective actions, accommodations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and employment decisions.
  • Apply knowledge of federal, California, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, corrective action, and termination processes.
  • Manage employee relations issues common in manufacturing environments, including matters involving current Good Manufacturing Practice expectations, safety requirements, documentation standards, and site protocols.
  • Maintain operational excellence across Human Resources processes, documentation, employee relations follow-up, talent processes, compliance requirements, and site support activities.
  • Partner with Human Resources Centers of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent and Organization Development, Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance, and People Operations, to deliver integrated Human Resources solutions.
  • Travel regularly among assigned California sites, including West Hills, Valencia A, Valencia W, and San Fernando, and provide additional travel based on business, site, employee relations, or enterprise Human Resources needs.
  • Model and reinforce a culture of safety, compliance, quality, and accountability across assigned client groups and sites.
  • Use personal protective equipment and comply with manufacturing and production site safety requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Human Resources certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR is preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, technical operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, food manufacturing, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
