Requirements
  • A master's degree is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in a university or college Registrar Office is required, including two years in a leadership position.

  • Significant experience managing enterprise student records or student information systems, including data integrity, testing, business process improvement, operational documentation, and integration with ancillary systems, is required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • The ability to keep sensitive information confidential is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service by applying academic regulations, rules, laws, policies, and procedures to information provision, problem solving, and information processing.
  • Maintain the integrity of academic records by accurately changing, correcting, and modifying database information, interpreting records, explaining information, and reviewing reports for errors.
  • Provide leadership for student information system-related issues and serve as a primary Registrar Office contact for the system.
  • Oversee the management, security, and archiving of student academic records.
  • Oversee production of the academic catalog, review of academic policies, FERPA compliance, and commencement processes.
  • Respond to and manage internal and external requests for the procurement and production of records and data.
  • Coordinate the team in meeting monthly enrollment reporting obligations to the National Student Clearinghouse and address related Clearinghouse issues.
  • Serve as a Designated School Official under the Student and Exchange Visitor Information Program and work with university constituents to resolve visa-related immigration issues for international students.
  • Partner with the University Registrar to develop and administer Registrar protocols and communications, and serve as the primary point of contact with the University's web team.
  • Perform degree audits and degree conferrals, maintain academic requirements, and post degree conferrals so accurate transcripts and diplomas are distributed promptly.
  • Work with curriculum committees and academic divisions to configure and implement programmatic changes that meet accreditation and University policy standards.
  • Supervise Registrar Office personnel and oversee office functions in the absence of the Registrar.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and preparing documentation.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Participate in team and University meetings.
  • Perform other assigned duties to meet unit goals and objectives.
  • Work under minimal supervision and support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference is given to a master's degree in Student Services, Educational Administration, or College Student Personnel.
  • Medical or health professions records experience is strongly desired.
  • Two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • The ability to design and administer complex processes and make independent decisions is preferred.
  • Professional development to optimize performance is encouraged.
