Holland & Knight ranks No. 1 for Platform Strength in 2026 Law360 Pulse Leaderboard.

Holland & Knight ranks No. 1 for Platform Strength in 2026 Law360 Pulse Leaderboard. MIAMI (October 21, 2026) - Holland & Knight has been ranked No. 1 for Platform Strength among the nation's 100 largest law firms and No. 8 overall in the 2026 Law360 Pulse Leaderboard, an annual assessment of law firms' reputation, capabilities and market presence. Law360 Pulse introduced Platform Strength as a new core component of its methodology this year, recognizing firms with the breadth and depth of resources needed to meet evolving client demands. According to Law360 Pulse, the category evaluates a firm's investment across practice areas and strategic markets, as well as its ability to adapt as client needs and business priorities change. For clients, platform strength is about more than size or geographic reach. It reflects access to integrated teams that can draw on deep experience across practices, industries and jurisdictions to help address increasingly complex business and legal challenges. Whether navigating high-stakes disputes, transformative transactions, regulatory developments or emerging risks, clients often need counsel that can bring together the right capabilities quickly and seamlessly. The Law360 Pulse Leaderboard evaluates firms across three pillars: Prestige, Platform Strength and Practice Footprint. In announcing this year's rankings, Law360 noted that the firms at the top of the leaderboard have demonstrated a strong foundation, active market presence and high regard among clients and peers. Holland & Knight's recognition reflects the Firm's continued investment in talent, strategic growth and cross-disciplinary collaboration designed to help clients navigate a rapidly changing legal and business environment.

Greenberg Traurig adds capital markets muscle in Mexico.

Greenberg Traurig adds capital markets muscle in Mexico. The firm has added a team of capital markets and finance lawyers in Mexico in response to increased client demand and market sophistication. Greenberg Traurig has raided Holland & Knight for talent as it eyes expansion of its capital markets and finance offerings in Mexico, welcoming Guillermo Uribe Lara and Adrián Gay Lasa as shareholders, while Jorge González and Carlos Guijarro join as associates. The hires were confirmed yesterday (23 September). José Raz Guzmán, Mexico office co-managing shareholder, said the appointments coincided with the firm's 15th anniversary in Mexico City and reflected its "continued strategic growth in Mexico and across Latin America while further strengthening [its] capabilities in key practice areas that are critical to [its] clients". Uribe Lara, Gay Lasa and González exit Holland & Knight after a 12-year tenure, having previously worked together at DLA Piper and Holland & Knight legacy firm Thompson & Knight. Guijarro, who began his legal career in 2021 at SMPS Legal, departs Holland & Knight following a two-year stint. Together, the team advises financial institutions, sponsors, companies, and Mexican and foreign investors on capital markets, banking and securities law, structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate deals, and corporate issues across the hospitality, real estate, financial services and infrastructure sectors. Greenberg Traurig Latin America practice co-chair Marc Rossel commented: "This team brings outstanding experience in capital markets and finance, significantly enhancing our offering in the country and the region. Their addition further strengthens our platform and enables us to deliver even greater value to clients operating in these dynamic sectors." "We are honored to become part of the Latin America practice in Greenberg Traurig," added Uribe Lara. "We look forward to further strengthening the firm's client service capabilities and to extending the benefits of a global platform to our clients around the world." News also broke this week of the appointment of shareholder Sofiya Bumagin to the firm's London-based energy and natural resources practice. Bumagin, who arrives from Sidley Austin, brings expertise in infrastructure mergers and acquisitions with a focus on energy transition and digital infrastructure issues.
