Minimum two years of related experience in a Junior Accountant role.
Working toward a CPA (CA, CGA) designation.
Strong working knowledge of Excel.
Responsibilities
Prepare and record monthly journal entries and accruals.
Prepare daily bank reconciliations.
Process customer refund payments.
Analyze monthly financials and provide variance analysis.
Coordinate the compilation of headcount information for budget purposes.
Prepare statutory remittances and process online payments.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations with relevant supporting schedules.
Assist with the annual review.
Salary Range: 19.5 to 19.5 (Currency: CAD) (Pay period: per-hour-wage)

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Accountant(JA) is responsible for assisting with the monthly close procedures including preparing and recording journal entries and accruals. The JA also reconciles accounts, prepares weekly sales reporting, and processes statutory remittances. Further the JA assists in the preparation of the budget by coordinating, compiling, and updating key information.
