Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and fun manner.
  • Ability to become familiar with the resort area, including lifts and trails, and the functions of other departments.
  • Knowledge of the resort's policies, safety policies, and guest service expectations.
  • Ability to communicate problems to supervisors and handle routine matters and emergencies.
  • Ability to remain vigilant to the needs of equipment and guests and respond safely while maintaining quality service.
Responsibilities
  • Operate the assigned lift according to standard procedures and written or verbal instructions to provide safe, quality uphill transportation for guests and employees.
  • Assist with shoveling and raking snow and ice to maintain ramps, corrals, and work areas.
  • Assist with pre-operation lift inspections, including emptying trash containers, checking marker information boards and tissue dispensers, checking switches, chairs, and grips, and maintaining ramps and corrals.
  • Advise and assist guests in a courteous manner.
  • Communicate problems to superiors while showing initiative in handling routine matters and emergencies.
  • Contribute to team efforts through job sharing, maintaining resort cleanliness and guest and employee safety, participating in safety meetings, and accepting diverse assignments.
  • Meet service-level objectives and department goals established by the immediate supervisor.
