About the job
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel environment is required.
- Secondary education is required.
- Good housekeeping knowledge is required.
- Good organizational skills are required.
- A good level of engagement with guests is required.
- Good knowledge of housekeeping operations is required.
- Candidates must complete the AssessFirst profile and questionnaire for their candidacy to be considered.
- Clean and maintain areas of responsibility according to set standards and procedures.
- Replenish guest supplies.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Report damage or malfunctions in hotel rooms or areas to the supervisor.
- Maintain equipment in a proper state of cleanliness and repair.
- Maintain a section room report and a daily productivity report.
- Attend daily briefings with the supervisor and take on assigned daily tasks.
- Report lost and found articles to the housekeeping office immediately.
- Handle guest complaints and report them to the supervisor immediately.
- Report unusual behavior or activities in guestrooms, floors, or public areas to the supervisor.
- Record room status in the allocated section accurately.
- Comply with the hotel's health, safety, and hygiene policy.
- Adhere to personnel grooming and hygiene standards.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Carry out valet services when required, such as delivering linen and processing laundry orders.
- Understand guest levels, including VIPs, and room categories.
- Adhere to all lost and found procedures.
- Follow housekeeping standard operating procedures.
- Comply with fire evacuation procedures and first aid training requirements.
- Adhere to Raffles grooming standards.
- Attend required training and maintain appropriate conduct at work.
- Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected.
