Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or another related field is required; mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • At least one year of applicable engineering experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills are required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to develop plans for assigned work and set priorities with a proper sense of urgency is required.
  • Ability to make timely decisions is required.
  • Average to above-average personal computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others is required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-hire drug screen and post-offer background screen is required for employment.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities and training locations as necessary is required.
Responsibilities
  • Complete small- to medium-sized projects of medium complexity and provide concise project progress reports.
  • Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop plans, prepare Appropriation Requests, and manage project implementation through completion within the allotted timeframe.
  • Assist and guide technicians, maintenance personnel, tool and die personnel, and other support personnel on technical matters.
  • Develop, install, and maintain optimum processes for the safe and productive manufacture of quality products.
  • Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment, including preventive and predictive maintenance requirements and mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment.
  • Coordinate corrections to production problems using manufacturing engineering problem-solving techniques and practices.
  • Develop alternate methods or processes to allow emergency continued production when needed.
  • Evaluate alternate solutions using engineering economy techniques.
  • Perform general industrial engineering functions as necessary.
  • Champion the company's mission, vision, and core values through workplace behaviors.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness for work, meetings, and assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of machine programming systems.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided drafting and design software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
