Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products Word Excel PowerPoint and related tools and technology required for the position
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in communications (organization, employee communications)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Senior Communications Specialist holds a bachelor’s degree and will provide a combination of the following (implied)
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (Employment Authorization) by the USG’s designated Security Office
Responsibilities
  • Provide effective communication to the Federal Government Agency employee and Contractor population to promote awareness of current and planned financial related transformational activities
  • Enhance communications within the Federal Government Agency and optimize communications channels by all available mechanisms
  • Provide review to ensure messages are clear, consistent, targeted, and timely
  • Define key messages, innovative communications tools, audiences, and the timing of communications releases
  • Educate and inform customers and stakeholders of changes in mission-based and supporting functions and business processes
  • Provide speech writing support for senior executives or leaders to determine what points, themes, positions, or messages the executive would like to cover
  • Sustain and reinforce the support, involvement, and commitment of customers and key stakeholders
  • Shape the expectations of the customers, stakeholders, and the workforce
  • Cultivate a culture of open dialogue between the Federal Government Agency and its customers, stakeholders, and workforce
  • Facilitate input from customers back to the Federal Government Agency's leadership and key stakeholders
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies and tactical activities
  • Assist the Federal Government Agency in reviewing and disseminating communications materials
