Mohawk Industries soars 8.7% on Q2 beat with $2.99B revenue and new CEO De Cock

Mohawk Industries reported second-quarter sales of $2.99 billion and net income of $196.1 million for the period ending 4 July 2026. Earnings per share improved from the prior year, supported by $206.4 million in share repurchases since mid-2025. The flooring manufacturer's stronger-than-expected quarterly performance included rising margins across all segments. The company also announced a CEO transition to Paul De Cock. Despite the positive results, Mohawk faces ongoing challenges from sustained weakness in residential remodelling and construction markets, alongside pricing pressures and higher input costs. The company's investment case depends on converting cyclical flooring demand and modest revenue growth into improved profitability through productivity gains and capital discipline. Analysts' most optimistic projections anticipate earnings could reach approximately $796 million by 2029.
