Job Summary
The Machine Learning Engineer Intern is a student in data science, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to write software in support of data analysis
Proven track record using Machine Learning to solve specific domain problems
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Passion for technology, data platforms, and enterprise SaaS products, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of product management
Experience developing software or algorithms based on predetermined specifications
Proficient with a JVM language like Java or Kotlin and an interpreted language like Ruby or Python
Attention to detail is a must
Good written and verbal communication skills
Design and implement features for a data science product
Ability to reproduce, diagnose, and fix bugs
Build unit tests covering your features and bug fixes
Solicit feedback about your features via design and code reviews and feature demos
Documentation updates related to your features
Compensation
The base pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to Qualifications, Geographical Location, Education/certifications, Experience, Skill Sets, Training, and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the current range for interns is: $20 - $25 an hour USD.
