Requirements

  • A strong track record of high-level publications
  • A strong track record of ongoing robust peer-reviewed research funding -- NIH R01 or equivalent funding
Responsibilities
  • Writing and publishing research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals; attending and making presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; and developing national and international scholarly reputation.
  • In addition to instructing and mentoring junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, and residents and fellow trainees, this position participates in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
  • Conceptualizes, plans, designs, implements, and conducts research studies in the area of rheumatic autoimmune diseases; develops and writes grant proposals to maintain funding to support research program; and obtains and maintains NIH R01 or equivalent funding.
