Requirements

  • A strong track record of high-level publications.
  • A strong track record of ongoing robust peer-reviewed research funding, such as National Institutes of Health R01 or equivalent funding.
Responsibilities
  • Write and publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Attend and present research at national and international scientific conferences.
  • Develop a national and international scholarly reputation.
  • Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellow trainees.
  • Participate in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
  • Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in rheumatic autoimmune diseases.
  • Develop and write grant proposals to maintain funding for the research program.
  • Obtain and maintain National Institutes of Health R01 or equivalent funding.
