  • 7+ years of professional experience as a software developer
  • A B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong hands-on programming skills in more than one language with a strong preference for Python
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas to engineers and senior leadership alike.
  • Extensive experience designing, building, and migrating complex distributed software systems
  • The ability to understand business problems and synthesize types that accurately model them

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical planning and execution of all projects for the Order Capture team.
  • Work closely with other lead engineers to drive the strategic technical planning with a 12-18 month future view.
  • Identify tooling for development, testing, and deployments that improve the development experience and drive their implementation.
  • Oversee development processes, including system architecture, code quality, and deployment pipelines.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges, integrating systems for cart management, payment processing, and fraud prevention.
  • Enhance system performance through iterative improvements, leveraging data-driven insights.
