Requirements
A Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License and two years of verifiable experience are required.
A current Department of Transportation medical card is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
Registration in the Department of Transportation Clearinghouse is required.
The candidate must pass a background check and drug test.
The candidate must have a clean driving record for the past three years.
The candidate must be able to drive a manual transmission truck.
Drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned a truck.
The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, crawling, pulling, frequent hand use, bending, reaching, and climbing, and must have significant physical strength and stamina.
Drivers must be familiar with or experienced in transporting high, wide, and heavy loads.
Responsibilities
Safely maneuver tractor-trailers for loading and unloading, follow crew signals, and ensure proper equipment positioning.
Operate trailers configured with tow bars, goosenecks, and multi-axle setups as required.
Load, unload, and secure equipment using appropriate tools and methods.
Use GPS mapping technology for efficient route planning and execution.
Transport a wide range of equipment locally and regionally using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks.
Work effectively in all weather conditions and adapt to variable job-site requirements.
Build customer relationships and provide thoughtful solutions.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company professionally.

About Us Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, proudly serves the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. We specialize in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage. Our team is committed to excellence, safety, and supporting our community.
This position is ideal for motivated individuals with a positive attitude, strong customer service orientation, and proven problem-solving skills. As a Class A or Class B CDL driver, you will be responsible for local and regional transportation of a wide range of equipment using lowboy, landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks. Drivers will need to be familiar with or experienced with High, Wide, and Heavy loads.
All drivers must be equipped with their own set of tools once you are assigned a truck.

Qualifications:
Class A or Class B CDL License required with 2 years of verifiable experience.
Current DOT Medical Card
TWIC Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Must be registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
Must be able to pass background check /drug test.
Must have a Clean Driving Record for the past 3 years.
Possess great Customer Service/Communication Skills
Must be able to drive a manual transmission truck.
Commission Pay:
25% Commission - Our drivers, on average, earn $1,000-$1,300+/week.
Pay guarantee of $800/week (whichever is greater)
This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.
