Lead Medical Assistant

Job Details

The Lead Medical Assistant serves as a resource to other Medical Assistants within their office by mentoring, training and leading day-to-day operations.  In addition to their Lead duties, they will perform standard MA functions such as assisting patients and assisting providers with performing various obstetrical and gynecologic procedures such as but not limited to, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and biopsies.  Will work in concert with all clinical leadership in ana effort to provide both the ultimate patient and provider experience. 

Serves as a resource to other medical assistants by training, mentoring and assisting in the direction of daily operations.
Orders supplies to maintain inventory and to facilitate smooth operations of the office. 
Provide guidance and feedback to other medical assistants to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient care standards.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
Performs and documents vital signs, clinical care quality measures and medical history information.
Remains proficient and knowledgeable regarding the use and documentation requirements within information technology systems within established scope of practice.
Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
Orders clinical supplies to maintain inventory and to facilitate smooth operations of the office.

Job Description

HS Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification required.Minimum of 2 years Medical Assistant experience.

For NJ only: Graduate of an accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program which includes, at a minimum, 600 hours of instruction andencompasses training in the administration of intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
