Requirements
  • At least 1.5 years of experience in health education, patient engagement, or a related healthcare role.
  • Experience in a sales, patient enrollment, patient onboarding, or call center environment.
  • Background in health coaching, public health, or community health work.
  • Ability to convert outbound outreach into meaningful engagement and enrollment by quickly building rapport, uncovering patient needs, communicating program value, overcoming objections, and confidently guiding individuals toward enrollment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage in warm, empathetic conversations.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience conducting outreach via phone, SMS, and video communication.
  • Ability to explain complex health concepts in a simple, motivating way.
  • Proficiency with database systems and mobile applications.
  • Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patient prospects via phone call, text, and email to introduce Scene services and support enrollment, with a primary focus on outbound calling and texting.
  • Use listening skills to identify programs and existing services that match patients’ insurance benefits and health needs, while handling frustrations and escalated patient calls when necessary.
  • Guide patients through the enrollment process using motivational support and technical acumen.
  • Accurately manage patient information and demographics in Salesforce.
  • Overcome patient objections, questions, and technical barriers to support seamless onboarding.
  • Assist patients with technical setup, including app downloads and troubleshooting.
  • Connect patients to health systems and resources, including primary care providers, lab services, pharmacies, and health plan benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, enrollment status, and follow-ups.
  • Assist patients with Scene’s Spotlight app, including download, setup, profile creation, and video testing, and guide them in accessing Health Coach support.
  • Build performance goals with management and use time management and critical thinking to achieve them.
  • Adapt to evolving services and processes to meet patients’ needs.
  • Provide feedback on patient challenges and recommend process improvements.
  • Establish relationships with patients and the Care Team, including nurses, pharmacists, and managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish.
  • Certification as a health coach, medical assistant, community health worker, pharmacy technician, or similar healthcare role.
  • Experience working directly with individuals insured by Medicaid.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software such as Salesforce.
