  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, plus at least three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • The ability to reconcile member and general ledger accounts is required.
  • The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, dividends, and percentages and apply basic algebra concepts is required.
  • The ability to operate a personal computer in a Windows environment is required.
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, and adjust focus as required by the physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor member communications received via postal mail.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services and cross-sell appropriate products and services to maximize member relationships.
  • Build relationships with members by completing tasks on or before assigned deadlines and anticipating needs.
  • Take ownership of member issues, seek solutions, and ensure accurate transaction processing and dissemination of information.
  • Contribute to a respectful and supportive team environment through positive workplace communication and dependable follow-through.
  • Provide staff with training tools and resources necessary to achieve their personal development plans.
  • Monitor membership volume to ensure timely assistance.
  • Process authorized data changes at the membership and account levels.
  • Complete assigned reports, tasks, and projects within established guidelines and timeframes as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Meet established individual and team sales and service goals.
  • Notify the Branch Manager of service concerns by monitoring member volume and branch service levels.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of IRA, trust, UTMA, and business account products.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with branch administration, including monitoring membership volume and patterns, managing staff scheduling, ensuring service standards are met, and handling escalated member issues.
  • Serve as a loan funder.
  • Monitor branch employees’ work quality and coach them to meet core values.
  • Manage overall branch operations to provide members with an exceptional experience.
  • Provide direction to staff for sales and service initiatives, including team coaching, motivation, and development of sales and service campaigns and strategies.
  • Serve as a membership officer as required.
  • Compile and analyze reports to identify trends for process improvements.
  • Perform other work as requested by the Branch Manager.
  • Oversee branch management in the absence of the Branch Manager.
  • Serve as a Member Advocate as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous branch and managerial experience in a financial institution is preferred.
  • Experience with Ultradata/FSP and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

The $1.6 billion California credit union turns to its former finance chief after longtime leader Kathy Duvall stepped down, as the institution looks to build on decades of steady growth and community service. San Francisco Fire Credit Union has named Robert Kassab its new president and chief executive officer, formalizing a leadership transition that follows the retirement of longtime CEO Kathy Duvall. The announcement places Kassab, who joined the credit union as chief financial officer in 2022 and most recently served as interim CEO, at the helm of a financial cooperative with approximately $1.6 billion in assets. His appointment comes three months after Duvall concluded a 30-year career in the credit union industry, including nine years leading SF Fire Credit Union. In a LinkedIn post announcing her retirement, Duvall described serving as CEO as "one of the greatest honors of my career" and said she was proud of what the organization had accomplished alongside its employees, members and community partners.
