Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital or print advertising/media, including advertising sales coordination roles.
  • Experience managing relationships with a range of customers through personal account management and category support while working under deadline constraints.
  • A long-term commitment to learning and developing knowledge of the business category.
Responsibilities
  • Operationally support an important set of accounts through the full business life cycle.
  • Lead client contact and coordinate with top-tier clients to provide high-touch service.
  • Develop relationships with advertising agencies and clients and serve as their primary point of contact for The New York Times and its products.
  • Manage and facilitate the sales process from pre-sale through post-sale.
  • Assist the Sales Director with renewals through life-cycle management of campaigns for key clients.
  • Coordinate across interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely creation and delivery of work to clients.
  • Oversee and lead the process of building and implementing client deals, managing client feedback, and tracking changes with sales and sales operations teams.
  • Help guide the development of new and existing client partnerships, including the Requests for Proposal process, using print and digital advertising products to address advertiser needs and campaign goals.
  • Lead the workflow of pre- and post-digital and print advertising campaigns, coordinating with Research, Ad Operations, Sales Development, Ad Products, and Content Studio to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
  • Manage client communications, create and own contact and status reports, and share feedback with clients and internal teams.
  • Lead non-pitch meetings to update clients on performance and address campaign issues promptly.
  • Monitor account business, including financials and progress, internally and with clients.
  • Assist sales with pipeline accuracy for key accounts in Salesforce.
  • Oversee pre-launch campaign execution by communicating client expectations, direction, and decisions to internal teams.
  • Participate in strategic and creative brainstorming sessions and contribute to business development.
  • Improve workflows and best practices in partnership with the Executive Director of Business Operations and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Work with the Head of Industry and sales leads for the assigned client portfolio.
  • Support and understand the value of journalistic independence and The New York Times mission.
