Quant Model Validator

Responsible for executing model validation activities, including validation, annual review, ongoing monitoring, findings management, benchmark development, and model use approvals. May coordinate a team of 1-2 quantitative model validators to test and evaluate the conceptual soundness of models and assess limitations and suitability for use.  Subject matter expert in a key model risk areas such as Quantitative Models in Finance and Banking, specifically derivative valuations, VAR, Stochastic Process, hedging and forecasting models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and executing model validation activities, including validation, annual review, ongoing monitoring, assess model risk tiering Assessment of conceptual soundness of the models, including the model limitation, assumption, model performance and suitability of model parameters.
• End-to-end independently validation of models and finalize validation findings along with remediation plans followed by preparation of model validation report.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication to the stakeholder and internal teams on model validation results Assessment of model performance monitoring and implementation process along with calibration technique.
• Review internally and externally developed models Subject matter authority in the key model risk areas of Market Risk, Monte Carlo Simulations, Financial and Investment Risk, and Stress testing.

Required Qualifications:

• Has 7+ years of experience in model risk management in Financial/Banking services.
• Has a master’s or Ph.D. degree in science, math, statistics, engineering, or related area.
• Working knowledge of SR 11-7/OCC 2011-12
