Responsibilities
  • Raise and receipt purchase orders for stock and non-stock items following agreed processes and guidance.
  • Check quantities, prices, and coding on purchase orders and update them when needed.
  • Track order status, including back-orders and delivery dates, and follow up with suppliers or colleagues when items are late or unclear.
  • Support capital expenditure project purchasing by creating purchase orders from approved requests and ensuring documentation is complete and correctly filed.
  • Enter and update purchasing and stock information in enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP and Sage under team guidance.
  • Help create and update product and material codes, descriptions, and supplier records.
  • Keep prices, lead times, stock locations, and other basic data up to date so reports remain reliable.
  • Raise system issues or data errors and help resolve them with support from experienced colleagues.
  • Extract data from enterprise resource planning systems and Excel to support reports on spend, stock, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain and update regular reports, including open purchase order lists, back-order reports, and stock usage summaries, using provided templates.
  • Use Excel to clean and organise data with sorting, filters, pivot tables, and lookups, and highlight obvious issues or trends to the team.
  • Support Purchasing and Finance with data needed for budgeting, forecasting, and month-end tasks.
  • Follow company purchasing and approval procedures and keep records tidy and well organised.
  • Support audits and internal checks by providing requested documents and system information.
  • Suggest small improvements to spreadsheets, reports, or working methods.
  • Help maintain step-by-step guides and basic instructions for purchasing and system tasks.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Coordinator, Logistics team, and Finance team.
  • Communicate with colleagues and suppliers about order details, delivery dates, and simple queries.
  • Ask questions when unsure and learn from more experienced team members.
  • Support the team by helping others and sharing information openly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Excel and basic data handling is desirable; training will be provided to build these skills.

GPT opens 51 Flinders Ln as Firmus and JCDecaux join East End's new-economy precinct. 03/09/2026 September 3, 2026 - The GPT Group (GPT) today officially opened 51 Flinders Ln, its $555 million office development in Melbourne's East End, announcing AI infrastructure company Firmus Technologies (Firmus) and global out-of-home media company JCDecaux as the latest businesses to commit to the precinct. Firmus will occupy a whole floor on Level 14, establishing its first Melbourne office at 51 Flinders Ln. JCDecaux is relocating its Melbourne team from St Kilda Road to a whole floor on Level 9, committing to a 10-year lease - reinforcing the continued consolidation of technology, media and professional services occupiers into premium CBD precincts. Both join hyperscale data centre specialist AirTrunk, also establishing its first Melbourne office at the precinct, alongside WPP, FM and Koda Capital. The resulting tenant mix - spanning AI, cloud and digital infrastructure, out-of-home media, professional services and financial services - reflects the precinct's emergence as a destination for businesses at the forefront of Melbourne's new economy. Phil Eastwood, executive general manager, JCDecaux New Zealand, highlighted significance of the milestone because of what it unlocks for brands. ADVERTISING "Hitting 50 SMARTFRAME sites isn't about the number. It's about the capability it gives advertisers," Eastwood said. "SMARTFRAME provides a premium digital, national network in the neighbourhoods and commuter corridors where everyday decisions are made. Brands can plan it with confidence, knowing it delivers consistent impact across metro and regional New Zealand." The 50th site on Pakuranga Highway joins a rapidly expanding network that began in Auckland's inner-urban suburbs and now spans Wellington, Christchurch and key regional centres including Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Upper Hutt, Hamilton, Tauranga and Hastings. Four additional frames will go live this quarter in West Auckland, Queen Street, Whangārei and Dunedin, continuing the network's growth into high-value audience zones. JCDecaux H1 2026: Revenue hits $2.2B with 5.7% organic growth, digital reaches 42.8% of total

JCDecaux reported strong half-year 2026 results driven by digital growth. The outdoor advertising company posted revenue of €1,953.9m with 5.7% organic growth in both H1 and Q2, exceeding expectations. Digital Out-of-Home grew 14.5% organically and now represents 42.8% of total revenue. Programmatic revenue surged 30.9%, accounting for 12.3% of digital revenue. Operating margin reached €359.0m, or 18.4% of revenue, up 190 basis points year-on-year. Recurring EBIT rose 53.5% to €136.2m. Net income increased 84.7%, with underlying earnings up 23.3% excluding a capital gain from APG|SGA share sale. Free cash flow improved by €91.1m, turning positive despite seasonal factors. JCDecaux expects Q3 organic revenue growth around 5%.

JCDecaux has launched programmatic digital out-of-home advertising across nine Latin American markets: Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Paraguay. The move connects 100% of the company's digital inventory in these countries to automated buying platforms. The offering covers more than 4,600 digital screens across street furniture, transport hubs and shopping centres, delivering an average of 8.2 billion impressions monthly. Brands and agencies can now plan, buy and optimise campaigns automatically across JCDecaux's entire Latin American network. The inventory is accessible through VIOOH, a digital out-of-home supply-side platform integrated with over 50 demand-side platforms globally, including Displayce. The programmatic solution enables advertisers to target audiences with greater precision whilst integrating out-of-home into broader digital strategies.

Date: 2026.07.16 A fresh take on a forgotten lamp, a sauna on the banks of the Danube, and sustainable fashion collections - five creative practitioners affiliated with MOME, including last year's graduates, have been selected for the 2026 BIG SEE Perspectives Award. Dorottya Bató, Valentin Szarvas and Nóra Szilágyi were nominated in the product design category, and Julianna Skrabák and the girls can scan collective in architecture. Their work forges links between current challenges in industrial design, the social issues explored through fashion, urban communities, and architectural heritage. On 21 May, the participants of the Perspectives 2026 introduced their projects to an international professional audience at the BIG SEE Festival in Portorož. A regional platform for emerging talent. Based in Ljubljana, BIG SEE is an architecture and design platform connecting professional communities across Central and South-Eastern Europe. Since 2018, its awards have highlighted achievements in architecture, interior design, and product design across dedicated categories. The platform also organises festivals, conferences, exhibitions, and industry events. First launched in 2025, the Perspectives Award returns for its second edition in 2026. It spans two disciplines - architecture and product design, with the latter also encompassing fashion and textile design. This year's selection features practitioners from Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Albania, and Türkiye, among others. Candidates are selected through a professional nomination process. Architects, designers, educators, researchers, editors, and curators invited by BIG SEE put forward emerging practitioners whose work already shows a distinctive and characteristic approach to design. MOME faculty members Dóri Tomcsányi and Péter Molnár are among the Hungarian experts invited to nominate. In the product design category, Dorottya Bató and Valentin Szarvas were nominated by Dóri Tomcsányi, and Nóra Szilágyi by Péter Molnár. The Hungarian nominators also include László Bence Dobos, a graduate of the MOME Doctoral School. Fashion, material culture, and personal narratives. Nóra Szilágyi graduated from the MOME Design MA programme in 2025 with the Rector's Special Award. Her independent projects are developed in collaboration with manufacturers, local communities, and craftspeople. Her Reflecta lighting collection draws on the surviving equipment and manufacturing expertise of the former Szarvasi lamp factory, carrying its industrial legacy into contemporary design. The project was also shown in Budapest as part of a citylight exhibition produced jointly by MOME and JCDecaux. Another standout project of hers is At Least, a home workout bench that also functions as storage furniture, as well as EVE, a community-based emergency alert system that notifies nearby residents in the event of danger. Both received a Red Dot Design Concept Award. Dorottya Bató, who graduated from the MOME Fashion and Textile Design MA programme in 2025, has three collections featured in the selection. RE/COVER reimagines the embroidered motifs of a family heirloom tablecloth through sculptural forms, contemporary pattern-cutting techniques, and 3D-printed fastenings. Don't Believe Everything You See uses zero-waste pattern cutting to examine transparency in the fashion industry. Dorottya's diploma collection, DNAI, explores hyper-personalisation, investigating how online platforms, user data and artificial intelligence shape consumer behaviour, the way Mome dress, and the choices designers make. 2023 MOME Fashion Design MA graduate Valentin Szarvas uses his eponymous label to examine the relationship between clothing and the wearer. In Became Silence, garments are conceived as intimate spaces of protection. Bújj-bújj, zöld ág reflects on concealment, visibility, and shifting identities, while Folding Back to Myself approaches sustainability through the dismantling, reconstruction, and survival of garments. Architecture - communities, heritage, and the city's hidden layers. Julianna Skrabák's 2024 MOME architecture diploma project, Place in Between - Alluvial Spaces and Strata Communities along the Danube, reconnects overlooked, underused stretches of Budapest's riverfront with local micro-communities. Between Nehru Park and the Danube, the project creates a network of galleries, saunas and spaces set into the embankment wall, all following changes in the river's water levels. At the heart of the project is the sauna, conceived as a ritual space that offers a break to step away from the rush of city life and slow down. Her projects featured on the BIG SEE platform also include Novella Quarter, developed with Marcell Korhán. Created for a competition in Debrecen, it casts the architect as a coordinator who works with local cultural communities to establish how the space will be used. In the experimental project DUNA.POSTA, hand-crafted pieces of driftwood carry messages between strangers, turning the river into a natural means of communication for a spontaneous community. Skrabák's nominator underlined her thoughtfulness, perseverance, and ability to frame architectural questions in social and ethical terms. The girls can scan collective comprises Júlia Bakucz, Kata Ramocsai, Lilla Kammermann, Lilla Luca Varga, and Eszter Hegedűs, who graduated from the MOME Design Theory MA programme in 2019. Founded in 2020, the collective develops research-led projects that bring together Central and Eastern European architectural heritage, feminist perspectives, and overlooked histories of the built environment. Tripping on Modernist Monuments explores regional approaches to preserving modernist architectural heritage. The collective sought out local initiatives in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chișinău and Bucharest, whose methods could also be applied in other post-socialist cities. Women's Day Statue Unveiling highlighted the role of women in engineering and architectural education. At the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, a beeswax candle shaped like a woman's head was unveiled in tribute to the institution's past and present female students. The performative action continued in 2025, prompting discussion about more inclusive forms of institutional memory. The Perspectives Award's English-language platform places the work of the five MOME-affiliated nominees in a regional context, while its nomination system supports emerging practitioners through recommendations from experienced professionals. For MOME students and alumni, the selection offers another opportunity to gain exposure in an international professional setting and to bring their work to a wider audience.
