Requirements
  • The candidate must be licensed in California as a Professional Land Surveyor or be currently seeking licensure.
  • The candidate must be familiar with Sonoma, Marin, and Napa County and have working relationships with agencies in those jurisdictions.
  • The candidate must have 5 or more years of management experience, especially managing multiple crews.
  • The candidate must have experience with field work, field procedures, and current surveying equipment.
  • The candidate must have experience with topographic mapping, Records of Survey, ALTA surveys, subdivision maps and processes, lot line adjustments, construction staking and calculations, and legal descriptions for lot line adjustments, easements, PG&E, and leases.
  • The candidate must have experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • The candidate must have experience with drones and a UAG 107 license.
  • The candidate must have a background in construction layout and be able to coordinate with multiple disciplines, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal departments.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare Records of Survey, lot line adjustments, Certificates of Compliance, subdivisions, and related documents.
  • Prepare proposals and service agreements for potential clients.
  • Occasionally perform field work, including surveys, staking, and site visits.
  • Manage the field crew schedule and adjust it to company and client needs.
  • Work with agencies on project-related matters.
  • Prepare and submit survey reports.
  • Work with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Stay current with land surveying regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Desired Qualifications
  • For a Professional Land Surveyor, 5 or more years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing complex projects and working with a variety of stakeholders on a project team is preferred.
