Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with an active, unrestricted state license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • At least two years of management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably field leadership of a Clinical Educator team.
  • At least three years of Clinical Educator experience within a pharmaceutical or hospital setting.
  • An active nursing license in good standing in at least one state where in-service activities are conducted.
  • At least five years of recent oncology nursing experience and at least five years of general nursing experience, including direct patient care, physical assessment, patient education, group in-service education, and proficiency in peripheral intravenous access.
  • Chemotherapy infusion experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A valid motor vehicle license and proof of insurance.
  • Good communication, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Clinical Educators in their territory.
  • Work with Program Management and the client to determine the most efficient allocation of Clinical Educators.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, work with Human Resources to resolve Clinical Educator issues and concerns, and manage routine staffing matters such as paid time off and sick time.
  • Travel monthly or every other month with each Clinical Educator to assess and evaluate communication and presentation skills in offices and clinics.
  • Manage onboarding for new Clinical Educators as needed.
  • Prepare and conduct on-site Clinical Educator meetings twice a year.
  • Evaluate each Clinical Educator territory for adequate coverage and in-service needs.
  • Manage conference attendance and feedback loops.
  • Work with key stakeholders to fill open positions as soon as practicable.
  • Serve as the key contact for team feedback on tools and materials.
  • Recommend Clinical Educator and program needs for continued success.
  • Organize training on new indications and processes for Clinical Educators.
  • Attend the client's national sales meeting and align content and training with team needs.
  • Communicate with the client's field representatives and other relevant client personnel regarding Clinical Educator performance.
  • Explain goals and expectations to the Clinical Educator team and manage communication for a remote team.
  • Identify and share best practices across regions and territories.
  • Complete required administrative responsibilities, including daily computer updates, weekly activity summary reports, emails, and monthly expense reports.
  • Complete all training courses and related competency assessments required by Inizio or the client within the specified timeframe and to the required standard.
  • Maintain company equipment and materials in accordance with company instructions.
  • Comply with Inizio and client policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional registration and licensing as required by applicable state laws.
  • Maintain a full, valid U.S. driver's license and promptly report offenses or accumulated penalty points.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
