Cint report finds 74% of U.S. Consumers believe brands should disclose AI use in advertising.

Cint report finds 74% of U.S. Consumers believe brands should disclose AI use in advertising. New research with Advertising Week reveals growing concerns around AI-generated advertising, with 44% of consumers reporting diminished brand trust when AI use goes undisclosed. NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Cint, the global technology company behind continuous research and media measurement, today shared findings from its latest report, The Authenticity Audit: AI, Advertising, and the New Rules of Consumer Trust, revealing how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping consumer expectations around advertising transparency, authenticity, and brand trust. Conducted in partnership with Advertising Week, the study surveyed approximately 1,000 U.S. consumers through the Cint Exchange in August 2026. The findings reveal a growing disconnect between the adoption of AI in advertising and consumer comfort with its use. Nearly three-quarters (74%) of respondents believe brands and creators have a duty to disclose when AI is used in advertising and marketing campaigns, while 44% say discovering that a brand failed to disclose AI-generated advertising would decrease their trust in that brand. As generative AI becomes more deeply embedded in creative production, the research suggests that transparency is emerging as a critical consideration for advertisers seeking to protect brand perception and consumer confidence. Key findings from Cint's report include: * Consumers expect transparency around AI-generated advertising: 74% agree that brands and creators have a duty to disclose AI use in advertising and marketing campaigns. Additionally, 44% say undisclosed AI-generated advertising decreases their trust in a brand. * Undisclosed AI use poses a significant risk to brand trust: 43% identify undisclosed AI or synthetic media as a major reason for losing trust in a brand, ahead of partnerships with non-credible or controversial influencers (38%) and disguised sponsored content (37%). * Brand trust influences purchasing decisions: 93% of respondents say trusting a brand has at least some impact on their purchase decisions, underscoring the potential business implications of advertising practices that undermine consumer confidence. * Consumers remain skeptical of AI-generated creative: 30% report being very or extremely concerned about AI use in advertising, while 36% describe AI-created advertising as untrustworthy and 28% consider it inauthentic. * Acceptance of AI-generated imagery varies by creative execution: 46% dislike seeing AI-generated people in advertisements, making synthetic human characters the most disliked category tested. Meanwhile, realistic landscapes are the most-liked AI-generated visual element, selected by 40% of respondents. * Consumers are concerned about misinformation: 47% believe AI-generated content in advertising is fueling the spread of fake news, while 38% believe it is reducing creativity in advertisements. "AI is creating tremendous opportunities for advertisers, but hand-in-hand with the ability to produce content faster and at greater scale comes the potential risk of alienating consumers," said Ariel Madway, Director of Brand Experience at Cint. "Our research shows that consumers are paying close attention to how brands use AI, and transparency plays an important role in maintaining their trust. For marketers, understanding audience perceptions and measuring the impact of creative decisions will be critical to making AI an asset rather than a liability." The report also highlights a distinction between consumers' growing familiarity with AI and their willingness to accept it in brand communications. While 47% of respondents use AI tools at least weekly in their personal lives, consumer acceptance of AI-generated advertising remains dependent on how the technology is applied and communicated. For brands and advertising agencies, the findings reinforce the importance of clearly disclosing AI-generated content, considering consumer preferences when developing creative assets, and evaluating how AI-assisted campaigns influence brand perception. Methodology In August 2026, Cint partnered with Advertising Week to survey approximately 1,000 U.S. consumers through the Cint Exchange. The research examined AI adoption in personal and professional settings, consumer attitudes toward AI-generated advertising, creative preferences and the role of transparency in building and maintaining brand trust. Cint launches self-service brand and sales lift measurement in minutes

Cint has launched self-service outcomes measurement within its Lucid Measurement Study Creator, enabling advertising partners to combine brand and sales lift studies. Magnite is the first platform to offer access to the new capability. The tool allows media owners, ad tech platforms and agencies to launch combined studies in minutes, reducing operational friction in campaign measurement. Previously, advertisers measured brand lift and sales lift through separate providers and datasets. New features include linear TV measurement in beta testing, industry-specific sales lift benchmarks across retail, telecom, technology and QSR sectors, and customisable post-campaign purchase attribution windows. The expansion builds on Cint's introduction of in-flight outcomes measurement earlier this year. The company operates a global network connecting researchers and advertisers to consumer data across over 130 countries.

Koji adds panel recruitment from the Cint Exchange, with a published price per interview.

Koji adds panel recruitment from the Cint Exchange, with a published price per interview. AI-moderated voice and text interviews with a targeted audience in 130+ countries, from a €29 plan, billed only for interviews that pass a quality check. Company · September 20, 2026 · 3 AMSTERDAM, September 22, 2026 - Koji, the AI-native customer research platform, today announced panel recruitment inside its studies through an integration with the Cint Exchange, the world's largest research marketplace. Koji customers can now describe an audience in plain language, see a price per completed interview, and hold AI-moderated voice or text conversations with that audience the same day. Until now, Koji customers brought their own participants by link, embed, phone or CSV upload. That works for teams that already have an audience. Many have a clear question and nobody to send it to. The new channel supplies the audience. Koji turns a description such as "parents of teenagers in Germany who bought a car this year" into Cint's profiling catalogue, quotes the cost in credits before launch, screens each respondent on the study's own questions, interviews them in their language, and returns them to their panel. Koji bills only for completed interviews that meet a quality bar. A conversation that ends in under a minute or with fewer than three answers is reported as a quality terminate and costs the customer nothing. Prices are shown in Koji credits at one euro each on the public pricing page, with no minimum commitment. Themes are synthesised as interviews land, so a forty-interview study reads as a report while it is still in field. "The research industry prices access to people behind a demo call and a five-figure quote. We think a founder on a €29 plan should be able to talk to twenty people in Brazil tonight and know exactly what it cost. Cint gives us the people. We took care of the rest," said Nirmay Panchal, Managing Director of Koji. "With the rapid rise of AI-moderated research platforms, it's fantastic to partner with an innovative, upcoming player like Koji right at the start of their journey. Integrating the Cint Exchange directly into Koji's platform combines their intelligent pre-flight quality checks with our programmatic reach, enabling researchers and brands to execute global AI-moderated studies with complete transparency and speed. We're excited to support Koji's growth as they power continuous, data-driven insights worldwide," said Conor Climpson, Enterprise Sales Manager EMEA, Cint. Koji runs interviews in 28 languages by voice, text and phone. Cint Exchange recruitment is available today on every paid Koji plan. About koji. Koji is an AI-native customer research platform that runs voice and text interviews with real customers, codes every conversation as it comes in, and writes the report itself: the themes, the evidence behind each one, and clear next steps, ready before the study closes. Cint and Potloc partner on AI-native research tool using Model Context Protocol

Cint, a research and measurement technology company, is working with Potloc to develop a Model Context Protocol (MCP) that connects AI agents directly with Cint's platform. The MCP allows users to execute research and measurement workflows through natural language prompts, enabling them to define audiences, evaluate feasibility, launch studies and monitor projects without deep technical expertise. Potloc is already using the MCP in its sampling workflow. Last week, an automated run configured a 20-market consumer banking study on the Cint Exchange in one pass — work that previously required manual configuration for each market. Mathieu Dussart, director of sampling strategy at Potloc, said fieldwork managers can now draft, price and validate target groups conversationally in a fraction of the time. Built on the open Model Context Protocol standard, the tool complements Cint's existing API and platform interfaces. Cint is inviting additional AI-forward companies to become beta partners.

New MCP collaboration between Cint and Potloc unlocks advances in AI-native Research and Measurement intelligence.

New MCP collaboration between Cint and Potloc unlocks advances in AI-native Research and Measurement intelligence. Collaboration will help shape Cint's Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities, designed to connect AI agents directly with research and media intelligence workflows. September 01, 2026 15:05 ET | Source: Cint NEW YORK, Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Cint, a global leader in research and measurement technology, today announced it is working with Potloc to help develop and test a Cint Model Context Protocol (MCP), an AI-native capability designed to connect AI agents directly with Cint's research and measurement platform. The collaboration comes as Cint works with customers to shape how agentic AI can accelerate day-to-day research and media intelligence workflows. The MCP brings the power of Cint into the context of daily work, allowing customers to orchestrate and automate their workflows without deep technical expertise. Benefits include the ability to integrate Cint with multiple systems that users interact with, and create skills and personalized outputs that suit specific personalized needs. Built on the open Model Context Protocol standard, the Cint MCP will allow users to carry out their research and measurement workflows using natural language prompts via the LLMs of their choice, with the AI agent translating that intent into action. "AI is quickly changing how businesses access information, make decisions, and execute workflows, and we believe research and measurement need to be available within those environments," said Lindsay Fordham, SVP Product at Cint. "By working directly with customers such as Potloc as we develop the Cint MCP, we can build around real-world needs and create a more intuitive way for AI systems to access verified human and media intelligence." For research teams, the Cint MCP is being developed to support workflows across the research lifecycle, including defining audiences through plain-language prompts, evaluating feasibility across markets, receiving pricing guidance, creating and launching studies, monitoring fieldwork and optimizing projects in real time. On the measurement side, Cint is exploring how MCP-enabled workflows can make it easier for customers to activate measurement studies, monitor in-flight performance and generate tailored insights at scale. The collaboration with Potloc will provide Cint with direct customer feedback as it continues to develop and refine these capabilities. Potloc is already using the MCP server in its day-to-day sampling workflow. Last week, a single automated run set up a 20-market consumer banking study on the Cint Exchange - 20 target groups, each with its own locale, feasibility check and bid - in one pass, work that previously meant configuring each market by hand in the console. "We've embedded the Cint MCP directly into our sampling workflows: our fieldwork managers draft, price and validate target groups conversationally, in a fraction of the time," said Mathieu Dussart, Director of Sampling Strategy at Potloc. "Working with Cint at this stage means the tool is being shaped around how research teams actually operate." Building an MCP reflects a broader shift in how Cint sees customers interacting with its technology. As AI increasingly becomes the interface through which organizations access information and execute work, Cint is building toward a future in which its research and measurement capabilities can be accessed directly within the AI tools and agentic systems customers already use. The Cint MCP complements the company's existing API and platform interfaces rather than replacing them, providing customers with another way to interact with the same underlying technology. With Potloc as an early design partner, Cint is now inviting additional AI-forward companies to be beta partners, using their feedback to guide continued development of the MCP experience.
