Quality Assurance Specialist
About the job
- Knowledge of production processes, mathematics, and statistics for developing quality assurance measures and methods.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and develop countermeasures for manufacturing- or supplier-related technical and systemic issues.
- Experience with manufacturing processes for components.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A 2-year technical degree or at least 4 years of closely related quality assurance work experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Support continuous improvement projects and quality assignments.
- Develop measurements and inputs for Production Approval inspection.
- Support the Environmental and Quality Management Systems, including ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949, and lead internal audits.
- Lead corrective actions, including 8D processes, and use the three-legged 5 Why tool to determine root causes for customer complaints, audit findings, and internal and external product failures or defects.
- Lead the development and maintenance of Process Flow, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses, and Control Plans.
- Work with suppliers and customers to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate the International Material Data System.
- Review and submit customer-specific Production Part Approval Process requirements and review supplier Production Part Approval Process submissions.
- Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering in the Advanced Product Quality Planning process.
