  • Experience managing technical products or online services is required.
  • Experience representing and advocating for diverse critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience with industrial-scale electrical systems, power electronics, power distribution, or electrification infrastructure, such as solar or energy storage, utility interconnections, switchgear, transformers, or power conversion equipment, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the business requirements for electrification infrastructure products other than the charger itself, including power distribution equipment, switchgear, transformers, power conversion equipment, and associated monitoring systems.
  • Analyze field data on current electrical infrastructure issues to identify product gaps, prioritize investments, and build the business case for monitoring, telemetry, and equipment improvements.

  • Evaluate third-party supplier capabilities and drive supplier selection, roadmap alignment, and technical requirement negotiations.
  • Own the product roadmap for software features supporting infrastructure resiliency, including auto-healing capabilities that maintain system uptime through single power-module failures.
  • Define requirements for SCADA integration and telemetry pipelines that transmit field data to backend services for analytics, alerting, and predictive maintenance.
  • Feed prioritized, well-defined requirements into Systems Engineering and coordinate daily with third-party suppliers, Supply Chain, Design/Deployment, Commissioning, and Maintenance teams.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in design reviews, supplier business reviews, and program milestone reviews.
  • Travel to sites to validate assumptions, run user testing on monitoring systems, and build relationships with field teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • A master's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics is preferred.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, industrial monitoring and telemetry architectures, and integration with backend or cloud services is preferred.
  • Experience structuring technology pilots, assessing third-party supplier capabilities, and driving build-versus-buy decisions is preferred.
  • Experience with power conversion technologies, including solid-state transformers, medium-voltage power electronics, and modular power system architectures, is preferred.
  • Experience defining software features for infrastructure resiliency, such as auto-healing, fault-tolerant control systems, or predictive maintenance, is preferred.

About the Company

Amazon

Sells products online and rents cloud computing

Amazon runs the largest online store in the United States and rents cloud computing to businesses and governments through Amazon Web Services. AWS pioneered renting computing power over the internet, and Amazon built its own delivery network to get orders to customers quickly. Shoppers buy from Amazon and from independent sellers on its store, and Prime members pay a subscription for fast free shipping, streaming video and music, and other perks. AWS rents out computing power, storage, databases, and AI tools so companies can run software without owning servers, and Amazon also makes Kindle e-readers and Echo speakers with the Alexa assistant. Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, and it is based in Seattle, Washington.
