Requirements
  • The Administrative Assistant - Transition and Economic Development shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required.
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
  • All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.
  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
  • Minimum Education for Administrative Assistant: High School Diploma.
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years minimum experience providing services and working in structured environs as an Administrative Assistant specifically related to Transition and Economic Development and Strategic Support for Specialized areas such as Government Policy and operational programmatic efforts related to the transition of Service members from military service to civilian life.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Location: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland Area.
  • Candidates may be required to submit to varying levels of background investigative requirements up to a Top Secret or DOE 'Q' clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (explicitly stated); Employer participates in e-Verify.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports and other program documentation, prepare graphics presentations, plan and coordinate meetings/conferences, perform data entry, filing, and reproduction.
  • Apply familiarity with specialized and technical terminology to proofread and edit documents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
