Requirements
  • An active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
  • Two years of relevant experience in adult clinical research and/or adult clinical neurology is required.
  • Flexible availability is required, including the possibility of working outside regularly scheduled hours and occasional domestic and/or international travel.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to research participants, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation, following study protocols, physician orders, and nursing scope of practice.
  • Recruit and screen identified Huntington's disease participants, obtain their consent, and enroll them in studies.
  • Conduct study visits and procedures according to protocol; assess and monitor participant status, provide clinical support, and report changes.
  • Recognize and report adverse events and serious adverse events in accordance with protocol, regulatory requirements, and institutional policy.
  • Coordinate study activities with clinical staff and researchers, provide training on research protocols, and collaborate with colleagues to align research and clinical operations.
  • Maintain, complete, and store study documentation and data, including electronic and paper records, consent forms, and case report forms, in accordance with protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional review board and regulatory requirements, identify and resolve obstacles in the consent process, and integrate participant consent efficiently into clinical workflows.
  • Oversee post-award grant and contract administration, including processing purchase orders, preparing invoices to sponsors, tracking expenditures, reviewing award budgets with investigators, and ensuring financial and compliance alignment.
  • Promote and coordinate clinical research initiatives for people with Huntington's disease, ensuring protocol adherence and integration with clinical care.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in neuroscience, research, social work, or a patient care field is preferred.
  • Five years of relevant experience in adult clinical research and/or adult clinical neurology is preferred.
