Sika Thailand advances professional tiling skills through Thailand Pro Tiler 2026.

Sika Thailand advances professional tiling skills through Thailand Pro Tiler 2026. PUBLISHED: 29 Oct 2026 at 15:57 BRANDED CONTENT Sika Thailand held the final round of "Thailand Pro Tiler 2026 - The Ultimate Professional Tiling Competition" on Oct 16, 2026, in Khon Kaen province. Katarina Lucic, general manager at Sika (Thailand), and the management team attended to encourage all 30 finalist teams, who competed for prizes worth more than 270,000 baht in total and the opportunity to represent Thailand at the 13th Sika World's Best Tiler Competition in Shanghai, China, in January 2027. The event reflected Sika's commitment to developing the skills of professional tilers as a vital foundation for construction quality. From bootcamp to finals The journey began with bootcamp in June, where Sika provided theoretical and practical training for more than 100 tilers before selecting 30 teams for the finals. The final round ramped up the challenge with tasks designed to simulate real working conditions. Contestants had to combine technical skills, precision, teamwork and on-the-spot problem-solving under pressure to deliver work that met the required standards within the allotted time. The journey reflected Sika's approach to developing people alongside product innovation, recognising that skilled professionals turn product performance into quality results on site. Commenting on the significance of the event, Ms Lucic said, "Ultimately, this is about people. Great products deliver their full potential in the hands of skilled professionals. By investing in craftsmanship, we help raise the quality of construction and create better results for our customers." Thailand Pro Tiler therefore connects learning with hands-on practice, giving tilers the opportunity to test their capabilities, exchange experiences with fellow professionals and apply what they have learned to improve the quality of work they deliver to customers. When SikaTile's "Secret Sauce" meets professional craftsmanship Building on the bootcamp, which introduced SikaTile as the "Secret Sauce" behind quality tile installation, the finals brought the concept to life through contestants' work. Their projects demonstrated that the right products must be combined with professional knowledge, technique and attention to detail to deliver full potential. Behind every visually appealing tile installation that meets professional standards is meticulous attention to every step, from surface preparation and the selection of tile adhesives and grouts to installation techniques. The SikaTile product range and professional craftsmanship complement one another to deliver results customers can trust. "Building Trust" - Inspiring confidence and taking Thai tilers to the global stage The competition also expressed Sika's corporate DNA of "Building Trust" through collaboration and mutual support. Sika's role encompasses delivering quality products, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for professionals to continue developing their skills, enabling them to deliver better work, with customers ultimately benefiting. The competition also gave tilers from across the country a platform to learn different working approaches, recognise their strengths and areas for further development and find inspiration to improve their craftsmanship, contributing to the long-term development of construction standards. From national champions to showcasing Thai craftsmanship on the world stage The next milestone is for the winning and runner-up teams to represent Thailand at the 13th Sika World's Best Tiler Competition in Shanghai, China. This marks an important step in showcasing the skills and precision of Thai tilers to an international audience. Sharing her hopes for Thailand's representatives, Ms Lucic said, "Whoever wins has every reason to be immensely proud of themselves. Of course, it would be wonderful to perform well, but whatever the outcome, I sincerely hope we can show the world what Thai tilers are capable of." "Above all, my message is for everyone to take pride in their profession, take pride in the quality of the work they deliver and help inspire the next generation," concluded Katarina Lucic, general manager, Sika (Thailand) Limited.
