Event Sales and Marketing Intern
About the job
- Currently enrolled in hospitality, commerce, or management studies at BAC +3 level or higher.
- Able to communicate proficiently, both orally and in writing, in French and English.
- Experience in upscale hospitality is an advantage.
- Assist the Sales and Banqueting Manager for half of the working time with incoming residential seminar, meeting, banquet, and other event inquiries, responding promptly according to established procedures.
- Identify client expectations and prepare commercial proposals.
- Schedule client appointments to view event rooms and restaurant spaces, and follow up with clients through their arrival.
- Coordinate events with internal teams and manage administrative files, including quotes, contracts, and invoicing.
- Prepare and implement client-facing materials, including signage and menus.
- Welcome clients on site and liaise with hotel departments, including food service, reception, and technical services, to ensure service quality.
- Ensure events run smoothly on the day and follow up on client satisfaction after the event.
- Track commercial activity and support the team in developing new initiatives and deploying strategy across different segments.
- Monitor competitors' new products and offers.
- Assist the Marketing and Communications Officer for half of the working time, according to business needs, with marketing and communications strategy implementation.
- Create photo and video content and manage social media activity.
- Create email campaigns and create or update communication materials, including flyers, menus, brochures, and presentations.
- Help organize photo shoots and filming, including mood boards, briefs, and coordination with internal teams.
- Support event organization and manage and coordinate media and influencer requests.
- Monitor competitors.
- Mastery of an additional language is an asset.
