A strong background in manufacturing or the sugar industry.
Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine maintenance, and repair maintenance.
Responsibilities
Undertake maintenance, repairs, and capital works across industrial plant and equipment, including mills, boilers, turbines, fugals, conveyors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, pressure vessels, valves, and associated equipment.
Perform advanced fitting tasks, including welding and hydraulic work.
Record and manage maintenance activities through a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Support workplace health and safety initiatives.

As one of Australia’s largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg.
We are seeking multiple skilled Fitter & Turners to join our maintenance team and help keep our plant and equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently.
This role is primarily day work, 7.00 am-3.30 pm, however, given the nature of our operations, shift work may be required.

About the Role
Reporting to the maintenance team, you will undertake maintenance, repairs and capital works across a range of industrial plant and equipment, including:
Mills, boilers, turbines and fugals
Conveyors, pumps, fans, gearboxes and motors
Pressure vessels, valves and associated equipment
Advanced fitting tasks, including welding and hydraulic work
Recording and managing maintenance activities through a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives
Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine and repair maintenance is essential.
