Masco hires cyber intelligence veteran as Chief Technology and AI Officer amid profit growth

Masco Corporation appointed Yaron Ben David as Chief Technology and AI Officer on 15 September, reporting directly to CEO Jon Nudi. Ben David previously served as Chief Digital Officer at Standard Industries and held senior positions in Israel's Unit 8200 military intelligence organisation. The appointment follows Masco's second quarter results, where sales fell 3% to $1,992 million whilst operating profit rose 14% to $470 million. Gross margin climbed 600 basis points to 43.6%. However, adjusted earnings growth was significantly boosted by IEEPA tariff refunds worth approximately $95 million. Management attributed the raised 2026 earnings guidance of $4.40 to $4.60 per share largely to an expected $85 million refund benefit for the full year. Hedge fund ownership increased to 46 funds from 42, though short interest stands at 4.87% of float.
