Requirements
  • Two to six years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • A strong curiosity about deep technology, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, with active consumption of industry information.
  • The ability to interview technical experts and customers and extract useful insights through effective questioning.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills; technical content-writing experience is advantageous.
  • Solid project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Strong community-building skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on a team.
  • Willingness to travel across North America two to four times a year.
Responsibilities
  • Stay immersed in HardTech, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and the Mining, Logistics, Smart Infrastructure, and HealthTech markets, and apply that context to marketing work.
  • Interview engineers and customers, ask focused questions, and translate complex technical work into clear, compelling stories.
  • Coordinate and plan events with partners.
  • Run quarterly partner funnel reviews to compare pipelines and identify leads and opportunities.
  • Support event sponsorship efforts, growing toward full ownership.
  • Produce the monthly email, blog posts, and event theses.
  • Write copy for marketing automation using Mailchimp and Apollo.
  • Grow communities of customers, partners, and prospective hires.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the event series while coordinating day-to-day execution by an event contractor.
  • Own and execute the nurturing funnel.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence and custom tools to generate more marketing-qualified leads and experiment with new marketing approaches.
