JPMorgan Chase runs the largest bank in the United States, which serves households and small businesses as Chase and large companies, governments, and investors as J.P. Morgan. During the 2008 financial crisis it bought the failing investment bank Bear Stearns and lender Washington Mutual, and in 2023 it took over First Republic Bank after regulators seized it. Chase takes deposits and earns interest on credit cards, mortgages, and car loans, while the investment side earns fees for advising on mergers, raising money for companies, trading stocks and bonds, and managing wealth. Formed in a 2000 merger, JPMorgan Chase traces its roots to 1799 and is based in New York City.

JPMorgan Chase has launched JLTXX, a tokenised US money market fund on Ethereum aimed at institutional clients. The bank is working with BlackRock to provide tokenised money market products that could support future US stablecoin reserves. Both firms are building fund infrastructure aligned with new GENIUS Act rules, which require regulated backing for US stablecoin issuers by 2027. JPMorgan's move represents a push to control the reserve infrastructure that future stablecoin issuers may rely on. If JPMorgan becomes the default reserve rail for regulated US stablecoins, it could generate fee-earning infrastructure revenue. However, the initiative adds to JPMorgan's technology spending, whilst competitors including Citigroup and Bank of America are also pursuing digital asset infrastructure.
Company led by Carlos Brito chooses banks for IPO in Europe, sources say. Belron Group, which operates in the windshield segment and is led by the former CEO of AB InBev, hired Bank of America, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley for an offering, according to people who spoke with Bloomberg News By Pablo Mayo Cerqueiro - Swetha Gopinath - Vinicy Chan October 8, 2026 | 06:07 PM Bloomberg - Belron Group, owner of the windshield brands Carglass, Safelite and Autoglass and led by Brazilian Carlos Brito, selected investment banks to lead a potential initial public offering (IPO) that could be Europe's largest in recent years, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke with Bloomberg News The world's largest windshield repair company has hired Bank of America, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley to arrange an offering as early as next year, the sources said, asking not to be identified while discussing confidential matters. Deliberations are ongoing and more banks could be added to the list, they said. Representatives for Belron, Bank of America, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley declined to comment. Belron, led by the former CEO of AB InBev, prefers Amsterdam as its listing venue and may seek a valuation of more than €30 billion, Bloomberg News reported last month. The selection of banks is the latest step in a process that formally began when majority shareholder D'Ieteren Group announced a month ago that it was reviewing strategic options for Belron, including a possible stock market listing. Shares in the Belgian company rose as much as 5.1% on Thursday (8), the biggest gain in about a month. In addition to Safelite in the United States and Autoglass in the United Kingdom, Belron operates the Carglass brand in Europe and Brazil. The company performed 17 million services last year and recorded sales of €6.7 billion. D'Ieteren owns just over half of the company, while a group of investors - including Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Hellman & Friedman, GIC and BlackRock - owns the rest. All declined to comment. An initial public offering (IPO) for Belron would be a boost for European capital markets, which have not yet recovered from the slump in new listings that began after the coronavirus pandemic. IPO volumes in Europe have lagged those in Asia and the United States, where the race to finance the development of artificial intelligence has fueled a listing boom. - With contributions from Ruth David and Arno Schütze.
