Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Work with the project superintendent and project manager to formulate, discuss, and finalize the overall operations plan, job layout, and job schedule.
  • Manage the day-to-day field work of craft workers and subcontractors by delegating work through foremen or subcontractor representatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with engineering, quality control, and safety teams to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Review job plans, specifications, budgets, and estimates with the project manager and project superintendent to confirm quantities, values, manpower requirements, and deliveries for the job's divisions.
  • Participate in schedule development and periodic logic reviews, generate short-term look-ahead schedules, and implement them in weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Assist with preparing plans for receiving, storing, and handling materials at the beginning of the job.
  • Assist in resolving construction problems, including productivity issues and work interfaces.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the owner and promote cooperation and respect among project partners.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • A four-year degree in engineering or construction management is preferred.
  • Four years of construction industry experience as a foreman or assistant superintendent is preferred in conjunction with the preferred degree.
