Requirements
  • Must have 8 years of experience performing mission analysis, information security technologies, and United States Space Force mission capabilities.
  • Must have CISSP or Security+ certification.
  • Must hold a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be able to understand and differentiate between critical and non-critical systems, networks, and capabilities that support organizational defense, rapid response, coordination, prioritization, and responses to security events, increased risks, and operational directives.
  • Must know how to assess systems and networks within a network or enclave and identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • Must be able to measure the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
  • Must have knowledge and experience supporting analysis tasks.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of mission assurance disciplines, including risk management, mission mapping, vulnerability assessments, and defensive cyber capabilities.
  • Must have a detailed understanding of mission analysis techniques, Functional Mission Analysis – Cyber methodologies, and mission dependencies.
  • Must be able to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems.
  • Must be familiar with the purpose and use of the Mission Assurance Decision Support System and similar database repositories.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
  • Guide junior analysts, demonstrate MRT-C analysis methods, and assist with follow-on defensive cyber actions for priority United States Space Force missions and assets.
  • Perform mission analysis by identifying cyber dependencies and vulnerabilities and developing mission cyber defense sensor strategies.
  • Analyze mission-related cyberspace network activities to support mission success across command, control, operational processes, and dependent space mission systems.
  • Identify, assess, and implement mitigations for risks within local cyberspace terrain critical to mission accomplishment.
  • Develop mission thread data for mission owners, cybersecurity personnel, defensive cyber operators, and program offices to assess acceptable mission risks caused by cybersecurity deficiencies.
  • Use collected information to create and deliver an Operational Risk Assessment and Asset Defense Plan.
  • Analyze MRT-C results against mission-system vulnerabilities and cyber threats to identify Key Terrain – Cyber for each United States Space Force mission.
  • Provide mission analysis support to United States Space Force MRT-C teams to determine cyberspace dependencies, security risks, mission vulnerabilities, and defense-plan measures for each mission system.
  • Enter mission data accurately into the Mission Assurance Decision Support System.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with Functional Mission Analysis – Cyber.
  • Experience with Space Force capabilities and related assets.
  • GICSP, GCED, PenTest+, or GSEC certification.
  • A B.S. degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or Center for Academic Excellence-designated institution.
