Varmora Granito raised ₹212.4 crore from anchor investors ahead of its ₹708 crore IPO, which opens for public subscription on 22 September. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of ₹320 crore and an offer for sale of ₹388 crore by investor Katsura Investments. The Rajkot-based company will use proceeds to repay borrowings and clear subsidiary dues. Shares are set to list on BSE and NSE on 29 September.
Lord's Mark Industries Limited, a diversified company operating in healthcare, diagnostics, renewable energy and LED solutions, has attracted investment from Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius I and AT Trade Overseas following open-market transactions. Promoter Dr Sachidanand Hariram Upadhyay sold approximately 1 crore shares through open-market transactions to comply with SEBI's Minimum Public Shareholding requirements. The transactions saw participation from Goldman Sachs and the Hisaria Group-owned AT Trade Overseas. Despite the sale, the promoter group retains a substantial holding in the company. The participation of institutional investors adds visibility to Lord's Mark Industries' shareholder base as it continues to scale operations across its business verticals.

The company, which is eyeing an initial public offering, already counts Blackstone, Macquarie, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Goldman Sachs, Aware Super and Aramco Ventures among its backers. The capital raising is designed to support growth in Australia and globally. Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, promoter of Hyderabad-based Granules India, sold nearly 7% of his stake in the pharmaceutical company on Friday, raising over ₹1,500 crore. The transaction involved 1.72 crore shares sold through 22 block deals and open-market transactions at ₹872.50 per share, representing a 3% discount to the previous closing price. The deal attracted participation from nearly two dozen investors, including Capital Group, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company, ChrysCapital, and Allspring. Smallcap World Fund Ind acquired the largest chunk, purchasing 34.7 lakh shares for ₹303 crore. Granules India stated the funds will support the second tranche of its ongoing preferential issue and next phase of growth initiatives. Following the sale, promoter group shareholding declined to 31% from 38%. The deal carries a 180-day lock-in period.
