  • 10+ years of footwear sourcing and development experience and 3+ years of management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of footwear development, costing, engineering and manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field with emphasis on consumer products; preferred.
  • Proficiency in PLM, Google applications and/or MS Office; preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and globally, up to 10% of the year.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute footwear sourcing strategy to ensure capabilities and capacity and to align with design vision and financial goals.
  • Manage end-to-end product development process to make the best in class product from ideation through buy ready.
  • Responsible for product development, costing and processes of creating innovative products that meet the expectations of our customers.
  • Responsible for driving product engineering, technical construction and fit of each style.
  • Lead the development of new materials, construction techniques, and processes that meet design, performance, fit, comfort and quality expectations.
  • Able to develop product to target FOB and minimums to ensure we hit or exceed our IMU targets.
  • Partner with the Production team to negotiate lead-times to support speed delivery to market.
  • Partner with the Quality team to create testing standards for footwear and approve development & production tests.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Vendor assessment and onboarding new vendors to support business growth.
  • Support Production and Quality teams on any product quality issues during production.
  • Contribute to creating seasonal GTM calendar and manage seasonal calendar deadlines for footwear.
  • PLM System Expert - be able to utilize the system to efficiently execute job functions, find improvements and implement new features. Create and maintain guides/ SOPs.
  • Manage PLM material library, BOMs, style templates. Execute product attributing in support of assortment sheet and PIM.
  • Mentor to the cross-functional teams on footwear materials, construction, technology, quality, and costing.
