Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved, accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technologists program.
  • Complete documented mammography training.
  • Have at least one year of mammography experience.
  • Hold current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.
  • Hold mammography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
  • Hold a South Carolina radiologic technologist license through the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
  • Hold current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all mammography procedures under the direction of the radiologist and radiology director in accordance with American College of Radiology, Tennessee Department of Health, Mammography Quality Standards Act, state regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Operate sophisticated mammography equipment for examinations.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, prepare for surveys, and maintain competencies.
  • Provide patient care based on the needs of all patient demographics.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have one year of diagnostic radiology experience.
