About the Job

Responsibilities:

• Drive and develop test architecture, tooling, metrics and automation to support our cloud roadmap.
• Devise and implement test strategies that adequately assess all aspects of the cloud system.
• Oversee and drive efforts to frame and execute the System and Scale Test strategy for our cloud offerings.
• Development of automation for End-to-End system and scale testing.
• Design, implement, and execute test cases based on requirements.
• Investigate and recreate reported defects.
• Work with other Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Track and document all testing defects and resolutions. 

About You

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud deployment procedures, and distributed architectures.
• Prior experience in Cloud Test, Quality Assurance, Automation Development or other related fields.
• Working knowledge of using Cloud observability tools for logging, monitoring, tracing such as ELK, TICK stack, Prometheus, Sentry or others.
• Familiarity with some cloud orchestration tooling such as Terraforms, Ansible or similar tools.
• Experience testing web and/or mobile applications (both local and cloud based).
• Experience in cloud computing platforms, tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
• Experience with networking (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, etc.) protocols and devices (Switches, Routers, etc.) and network performance and monitoring tools (WireShark, etc.).
• Previous experience in using automation frameworks such as PyTest.
• Experience with public cloud services, HTTP, and REST APIs.
• Strong root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to collaborate with people of different working styles.
• Driven, deadline and detail-oriented.

Preferred:

• Experience testing scalable applications on GCP, AWS, Azure or any of the public cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Security concepts for authentication.
• Any knowledge using cloud native technologies, Kafka messaging and cloud hosted databases will be a plus.
• Knowledge of Virtualization, Micro Services, Web Services and REST APIs.
• Able to look at problems at the system level (from infra to services) and figure out short term and longer-term solutions to address scalability and performance bottlenecks and make appropriate tradeoffs.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.
• Willing to learn about wireless, RFID and sensor technology and test procedures.
