Requirements
  • At least 12 years of engineering experience, including specialized engineering with major project management responsibilities.
  • Experience across engineering support phases including problem formulation and specification, system design, data collection, systems engineering and analysis, problem resolution, and documentation of results.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or higher United States security clearance; United States citizenship is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise in support of Building Operations and Maintenance efforts and other assigned duties.
  • Perform as a task leader on complex project assignments under the guidance of a team leader.
  • Perform design development, analysis, and review tasks independently while supervising contributing engineers.
  • Complete designs, analyses, and design reviews independently or as the group leader.
  • Generate complete design specifications for complex projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system or subsystem specifications.
  • Interface and liaise with internal and external customers from quotation through final design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and experimental investigations.
  • Analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare oral presentations and written reports for management, including solutions or alternatives ranked by desirability and probability of success.
  • Design, develop, and implement electrical power systems.
