ABOUT THE ROLE

The Anduril Imaging team develops state-of-the-art infrared imaging systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The Imaging team is seeking a Modeling and Simulation engineer for the WISP and Iris products to architect and develop simulation tools in order to understand how well the products perform in larger system of systems for a variety of scenarios (e.g. weather conditions, against different threats). This work will help identify ways WISP and Iris can better interface and interact in the larger system of systems environment to improve overall mission success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Develop Software in the Loop (SITL) models for WISP SkyFence for given target trajectories and signatures
Determine kill chain work flow bottlenecks for various system of systems utilizing the detection capabilities of WISP
Develop data analytics tools to predict detection range performance under current weather conditions based on past data
Develop simulation tools to evaluate most effective approaches to prioritize which potential threats to interrogate with a narrow field of view sensor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

C++ background, also comfortable in Python or MATLAB
Must possess and be able to maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance
Ability to think at a system level
Familiarity with adding plug ins to adapt and combine existing simulation tools for new purposes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with camera systems or radar
Estimation theory
Experience developing performance and error budgets
Interest/willingness to perform some work in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs)
Prior experience with thermal imaging
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

US Salary Range

$168,000—$252,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
