  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • The employee must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • The employee must be able to stand and walk constantly; use vision and depth perception frequently at near and far distances; use hearing and speech frequently for oral communication; distinguish body sounds and alarms; lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 0–25 pounds frequently; lift or move patients frequently; perform reaching, gripping, keyboard use, and data entry frequently; lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 25–50 pounds occasionally; identify and distinguish colors occasionally; perform bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements occasionally; and kneel and sit rarely.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors under direct supervision.
  • Follow radiation protection and safety standards.
  • Prepare for and assist supervising technologists and physicians during imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Position patients and accurately select anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other departmental areas.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
