Requirements
  • A certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training with the specified continuing education, a format-related 200-hour yoga teacher training and/or CorePower Yoga Online teacher training, or completion of the 50-hour Yoga Sculpt Intensive, depending on the training pathway and timing.
  • Current CPR/AED certification is required.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications is required.
  • Ability to lead students in physical activity for up to 1.5 hours at a time is required.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to heat of up to 104 degrees for at least 60 minutes in heated classes is required.
  • Ability to move around the studio, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds is required.
  • Instructors are assigned a studio set including a home studio and supporting studios where they teach permanent classes, prioritize substitute-teaching support, receive routine feedback and communications, and support community growth and CorePower initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Teach a minimum of two CorePower Yoga classes per week for a minimum of four hours in the studio.
  • Serve the community and provide a consistent safe space by educating students on alignment, offering posture modifications as appropriate, and consistently using CorePower cueing formulas.
  • Be present at the studio 30 minutes before and after each class to read studio communications, plan CorePower-aligned classes using class-planning and support tools, and connect with the student community.
  • Connect with students 30 minutes before class and 30 minutes after class to support students’ personal growth, studio growth, and current CorePower initiatives.
  • Welcome students, check them in to class, navigate point-of-sale transactions, perform front-desk duties, and ensure an overall memorable student experience.
  • Perform assigned cleaning tasks to maintain Smart Health Protocol cleanliness standards and ensure student and employee safety.
  • Contribute to a supportive studio environment by upholding CorePower values and fostering positive working relationships.
  • Act as an in-studio ambassador for CorePower initiatives and business streams, including All Access Membership, programming and lifestyle programs, and retail.

  • A high school diploma is preferred.

The new CorePower Yoga studio is located in a 2,661-square-foot space on the ground floor of the Bryant Plaza mixed-use building at 333 Warner Ave. in Roslyn. The Roslyn studio is the first of three Long Island locations that CorePower plans to open. The chain plans to open a 2,649-square-foot studio in the Huntington Shopping Center at 350 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station later this year and another 3,407-square-foot studio in the Gallery at Westbury Plaza at 900 Old Country Road in Garden City early next year. The CorePower Yoga studio in Roslyn will feature two practice rooms accommodating up to 67 mats, a lobby with communal eating space, "curated retail," two showers and restrooms, a standalone shower, dry bar and shared lockers, according to the company.
